Return of the Legend

In the 21st century, the Steelers best defensive player was Troy Polamalu, no doubt, but the toughest was certainly Steel Curtain Linebacker, James Harrison. Harrison had a wacky start to the begining of his career. James Harrison was the Greg Lloyd of the 2000's. In 2002, he started his career with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent Linebacker. After the '02 season, he left the Steelers, but returned just two seasons later. Two-thousand and four was the first season James Harrison actually played. Two years later, James Harrison and the Steelers won the Superbowl. One year later, in 2007, he had 76 solo tackles, 8.5 sacks, and his first pro bowl appearance. In 2008, Harrison again made it to the pro bowl and posted a career high, 16 sacks. In 2009, he had the greatest season of his career. He had ten sacks, five fumble forces, made it to his third straight pro bowl, won his second super bowl, had the second longest touchdown in the Superbowl and was the AP Defensive Player of the Year. In 2010 won the AFC Championship and made it to the pro bowl for the fourth time in a row. In 2011, he made it to his fifth and last pro bowl. Harrison is famous for many plays and hits, and here's a tip: if you're a drunk fan, no matter what, don't run on the field while James Harrison is in the same stadium. He end his career with the Steelers in 2012 with 667 total tackles, 66 sacks, six interceptions, five straight pro bowls, three AFC Championship wins, two time Superbowl Champ, and an AP Defensive Player of the Year. In 2013, he signed with the Bengals, and the Steelers went 8-8. The Steel Curtain lost it's toughness after losing, Lawrence Timmons, Larry Foote, Joey Porter Ryan Clark, Aaron Smith, James Farrior, Brett Kiesel, and James Harrison, well the Steelers brought back the bearded monster (Kiesel) and the toughest S.O.B. in the league. Harrison will be a mentor, leader, and playmaker!
