For Pittsburgh Fans

Pittsburgh fans were the luckiest fans there are and may be again. We (Pittsburgh fans) are known as the City of Champions due to numerous sports championships thanks to the Steelers Pirates and Penguins. When you think about Pittsburgh and it's sports history we have a lot to brag about: Mario Lemieux, six Lombardi trophies (most ever), five World Series victories, three Stanley Cups, the Steel Curtain, Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, Crosby, Roethlisberger, Polamalu, Malkin, Bettis, Ward, McCutchen, Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Mike Webster, Paul Coffey, Fleury, The Terrible Towel and much more. In 1979, both the Steelers and the Pirates shared the great pride of Pittsburgh that year both being sports champions; in 2009 the Steelers and Penguins both also became sports champions.

Since the Pirates were known as the Alleghenys to the Steelers sixth ring, Pittsburgh has been a sports city, more like a sports Heaven! In 1900, a young athlete named Honus Wagner started his career  with the Pittsburg Pirates, 111 years later, his rookie card sold for 2.8 million dollars! Like that there has been many great times in Pittsburgh, but there has also been some down times like the death of Clemente of Chuck Noll, or the Pirates 20 year playoff drout. In 2011, the Steelers lost in Wild Card game to Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, since the the Steelers haven't made it to the playoffs, the Pens haven't seen the Stanley Cup, and the Pirates... well nothing different. This is known to many people as The Curse of Tebow. Well, so far in 2014, the Steelers right now have a winning record and are looking good with James Harrison and Brett Kiesel returning, and LeVeon Bell and Antonio Brown creating another explosive offense. The Pirates on the are also doing incredibly well, they are the best team in Pittsburgh right now. The Buccos have already clinched the playoffs still fighting for first place in the division and they also have Josh Harrison leading the NL in batting average with Andrew McCuthchen and Sterling Marte not far behind him. And for the Penguins, Crosby and Geno are hoping to have Lord Stanley looking down on Pittsburgh this year. My point by all of this is, Pittsburgh is an incredible sports city, but it also has some bad years and 2014 is looking like a phenomenal one.
