My prediction last year - Denver Broncos vs. Green Bay Packers
The correct outcome - Denver Broncos vs. Seattle Seahawks
Last year, I was one for two in my prediction. This year, I predict the Superbowl match up will be the Denver Broncos (again) vs. the Carolina Panthers.
Peyton Manning is getting older, but I think he's still good enough to make it to the Superbowl again. The Broncos lost key players this off season: Veteran Corner Back Champ Bailey, Corner Back Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Wide Receiver Eric Decker, Defensive End Shaun Phillips, and Running Back Knowshon Moreno, General Manager, John Elway, was very effective this offseason, he signed Wide Receiver Emmanuel Sanders from the Steelers, pro bowl Safety T. J. Ward from the Browns, pro bowl Corner Back Aquib Talib from the Patriots, and seven time pro bowl Linebacker Demarcus Ware from the Dallas Cowboys. On the offense they have future Hall of Fame Quarter Back Peyton Manning, second year Running Back Montee Ball, pro bowl Tight End Julius Thomas, Wide Receivers Demarius Thomas, Wes Welker, Emmanuel Sanders, and an outstanding offensive line. On Defense, Demarcus Ware and Von Miller will be lined up next to each other and will have a great secondary with T. J. Ward and Aquib Talib. This is why the Broncos will return to the Superbowl.
The Panthers surprised everybody last year. They started out 1-3, but finished the regular season 12-4 making it all the way to the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Carolina has one of the youngest teams this season. Starting quarterback Cam Newton is 25 years old and is a combination of Michael Vick and Aaron Rodgers. He can run pass your defense and pass just as effectively. Newton will be handing the ball off to pro bowl Running Back DeAngelo Williams and pro bowl Fullback Mike Tolbert. The panthers lost veteran Wide Receiver Steve Smith, but have other great players to catch the ball such as Wide Receiver Jerrico Cotchery and Tight End Greg Olsen. Carolina has a great offensive line staring four time pro bowler Center Ryan Kalil. As you can see, the Panthers have an amazing offense, but they have an even better Defense. Carolina's Head Coach is Ron Rivera, who was a Linebacker for the '85 Bears! The Defensive Line includes pro bowler Greg Hardy. Hardy would be the best on the Defense if it wasn't for Luke Kuechly. Kuechly is a Linebacker and the face of the franchise for the Panthers. Last year, (2013) Luke Kuechly was the AP Defensive Player of the Year. This is why Carolina will make it to the Superbowl.
Both of these teams are amazing and both have a great chance of making it to the Superbowl. This is why I picked these teams. Who do you think will win?
